Global Talent Visa
The Global Talent visa is a premier UK immigration route for highly skilled individuals in arts and culture, digital technology, or academia and research, replacing the Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) visa. It allows established or emerging leaders to work in the UK without employer sponsorship.
Requirements for
Global Talent Visa
- Are at least 18 years old
- Have been recognised as a leader or potential leader (exceptional talent or exceptional promise) in one of the eligible fields: academia or research, arts and culture, or digital technology
- Have been endorsed by an approved UK endorsing body in their field (such as UK Research and Innovation for research, Arts Council England for arts, or Tech Nation for digital technology), unless they have won an eligible prestigious prize which allows direct application without endorsement
- Have an endorsement letter that was issued not more than 3 months before the date of their Global Talent visa application (if applying with an endorsement)
- Intend to work in the UK in their field of expertise as stated in the application
- No specific English language proficiency requirement (unlike some other UK visas)
- No specific financial or investment requirement (such as the £50,000 needed for the Innovator Founder visa)
